During a side event at the just concluded 38th Ordinary Session of the AU, I joined a group with the Pan African Lawyers Union and the African Judges and Jurists Forum. We are preparing for the Roundtable scheduled for May that was mandated by the African Commission on Human and Peoples’ Rights (AHCPR) Resolution 616 – https://achpr.au.int/en/adopted-resolutions/616-reparations-and-6th-region-african-union-achprres616-lxxxi-2024 We will be submitting comprehensive reports on the status of all the repatriated communities in AU Member States.
