I am incredibly blessed to have seen D’Angelo live in Denver during his “Black Messiah” tour. I will never forget hearing the album the week before the show. I’ll never forget being at the front of the crowd and toward the end he reached his hand out to me and I gave him a Black Power fist bump instead. I will literally tell this story until I leave my body. I grew up on Voodoo. D’Angelo has been the soundtrack to my life for all 31 years of my life. One of the greatest musicians of all time, in any dimension transitioned into the realm of the ancestors. Extremely lucky to have lived on this planet as the same time as beloved D’Angelo.
