if our culture is what we have as a means to protect our interest, safeguard us and move us forward, then our culture and common sense should be one and the same… well, i’ll say “sense” in general, since cultural sense isn’t all that common

I would agree that they go hand in hand. If I understand the question.

I think they should go hand in hand.
Culture provides identity and values. Common sense keeps those values practical and relevant.
I believe problems only arise when culture becomes rigid or when logic or common sense ignores cultural context.

Whose culture tho? An alien culture can only mislead one from their common sense; one’s true culture enforces it.

How is “common sense” defined? I.e., is it per the status quo set by eurasian hegemony? An elder (Baba Wekesa Madzimoyo) teaches to inquire “does it make Black sense?”. With that question alone, I would say Black Sense it’s more important than “common sense”, because we must think from a perspective that is most relevant to us.
