Abibifahodie! Broad question, but could someone link me to any books/information on traditional clothing? Casual, formal, ceremonial etc as well as incite on when/where the appropriate time to wear certain fabrics.
I’m heavily inspired to follow behind the act of changing my wardrobe to our indigenous clothes. Outside of bogolan, I’m having difficulty finding direction to what I would even be looking for, as well as the significance.
I think a deeper understanding of our very own clothing is missing & would be valuable info for any of our people wanting to get back to the roots!

not all on this list i would recommend – but I do like:
– Bogolan, Kente, Barkcloth (haven’t found any to purchase), Adire and Aṣọ-Òkè (there’s a sister on here that you can purchase from @the.Cowrie.goddess )

@Bakari Kwadwo Great info! I have a couple local shops where I’m at I need to look into. Been on the hunt for good jewelry as well. Threadedtribes is a good source for variety of bogolan. Based in Accra, but ships everywhere.
