The Asafo Conference was the first event me and my wife attended together since gaining consciousness.

The speakers Baba Ashra Kwesi, and Baba Baruti, left us speechless!

Unfortunately, we did not get to hear The Irritated Genie speak live, but I know there will be other times..

Baba Ashra Kwesi—Never heard a person quote our history, Black history, Afrikan history so passionately and throughly that he can take you back in time. There was no more questions to be asked after his presentation.

Baba Baruti—Felt like I was in an Afrikan classroom with an elder of the village. Motivated me some much to improve on myself.

Often times, we forget these are real people,fighting for our people. Baba Baruti definitely conveyed this and also what we need to do to begin rebuilding our relationships and families in order to build a strong nation.

Oh yeah, Ka Ba Soulsinger killed it!
