I understand my tribal language, but can’t speak it, but I’m going to rectify that soon. I grew up speaking our version of patois (Krio), which is the most common language in Sierra Leone. What about yourself brother?

@kalokoh My parents are from ghana and our languages are Twi from my mother and Ewe from my father. I always understood a bit of Twi, but no Ewe. Since january i’m learning Twi and Ewe will follow mayebe next year.

i would strongly recommend that. i also want to learn a non-ghanaian afrikan language. but what is your motivation to learn twi?

I have a feeling that I will be flying in and out of Ghana for business. Plus, it is another African language. I take pride in anything progressive that has to do Africans.

That sounds like we might meet on mother soil. I will be in ghana in october and I’m planning to repatriate soon.
I am learning twi by the abibitumi-classes, right now i am at Introductional Twi lesson 6. So if you wanna go into any kind of learning/conversating/working on twi together (and mayebe get some more to participate) i’ll be in.
And yes, to learn the languages of our afrikan family on the whole continent is the goal :)
