Last week in terms of sport
-Monday to Friday = 22km on the bike per day
-Saturday = 120 minutes of N’Golo Capoeira classes:
      Singing and playing the Pandeiro
Training of basic moves (bencao, meia lua de compasso, aú )
2 x participation in the Rhoda

Last week I had one long go in the Rhoda in which I was completely let to go freestyle against a woman. This time I had one go in freestyle against a man and another go with the Mestre, also a man, who instructed me:
He slowly attacked me with the same move two times in a row and then I returned the attack two times. Can’t express how much fun it is to get into the moves of N’Golo Capoeira fighting! Having a blacktastik time!

      • Sounds BlackNificent! Remember that you are to learn to defend yourself, your family and your Black=Afrikan race. It’s easy to lose sight of that as one is playing the games and doing the rituals and propagating the portuguese language. Be sure to stay focused and disciplined in learning the movements and the system of Afrikan deep thought that gave birth to the movements so you are not overly entranced with what Capoeira has become since it became a formal “academia” thing with different goals and objectives than the self-defense-oriented ones of our Ancestors.

Exactly these I the two points already made me think:
The singing in portugese and therefore learning and speaking the language is disturbing me as I know that I am supporting Yurugu language with that act. Second thing is that the moves are kept very playful without any indication of a real danger or force at all. The Rhoda does not in any way look like what I’ve seen in Abibifahodie Capoeira. Not a scratch.
As a means to continue my way into an Afrikan Combat System and that class has it integrated most dense it is appropriate to be in there. But yes @obadelekambon, it also deliveres some brainwash I need to protect myself from.
          Mate me nua, mate.
