Known as “Nabas” of the Dogon culture, they belong to the ancestral and divine world. They are a group of bloodlines and the keepers of knowledge at the upper echelon in the Pharaonic era (kings). Contrary to widespread belief, the Dogon are not just a small tribe that live in Mali.

The culture is made of many different bloodlines which include Kediou (builders), Woba (farmers), Yonlis (guardians of kingship), Naba (healers/priests), Mende (blacksmiths) etc.. and these bloodlines are found in tribes such as the Gourmantche, Chibisi, Dogoma, Farafara, Sonike, Germa to name a few. Once lived in the Nile Valley therefore seen as Kemetic people who during the time of invasion did migrate so that their culture and spirituality could be kept pure. They did spread across to Burkina Faso, Ghana, Togo, Benin, Mali, Ivory Coast and Niger. The Naba bloodline being responsible for having preserved the temples of Kemet are referred to as the intermediaries between humans and the divine world.

Devoted to this reality, the bloodline has been initiating everyone of it’s descendants to carry on the legacy of the first ancestors of the bloodline in order to preserve its integrity. The late Prophet Neb Naba Lamoussa Morodenibig for the Gourmantche is an example of whom was elected to bring this knowledge to the outside world. The elders of the initiation as well as the King of the Gourmantche people (Yoabili) allowed Master Naba to spread the initiatic knowledge.
