From the Omo tribal culture which include the Mursi, Karo and the Suri (as well as many others) they are well known for their elaborate face and body painting. Living in the valley for centuries they still live as well as perusing their ancient traditional lifestyle. Distinguished by this manner from their hands, the children are able to create self, the image of the world as they see it as well as the image the world sees. It is from their hands they paint a picture of their people in tribute to their mothers and fathers. From their hands, beauty is painted, customs woven and tradition celebrated.
