Made a post the other day with the same meme. I just read the following, and I believe it gives some context to the second part of the meme.
“It is well known that the males of a captive or oppressed people are the targets for special and more intense oppression by their captors and oppressors than are there oppressed female counterparts. This is the case simply because the principal captors and oppressors, usually male themselves, expect greater and more nakedly aggressive resistance to their dominance from captive and oppressed males. While not denigrating the resistance and revolutionary roles played by women under oppression, we think that the psycho-historical record will reveal that the freedoms, movements, social assemblies and activities of oppressed males which may be perceived by their oppressors as possibly empowering their abilities to resist and overthrow their masters, are subject to acute surveillance and repression. As an important part of protecting themselves against overthrow and maintaining the effectiveness of their physical, psychological and socio-economic security and dominance, maintaining high levels of masculine self-esteem, self concepts and self-confidence, oppressive males attempt to undermine the physical, psychological and socioeconomic stability and security of oppressed males. Moreover they undermine and destabilize the masculinity of oppressed males by minimizing their self-esteem, and engaging in destroying the self-concept, self perception, self-confidence, or by severely restricting the development and expression of these factors in ways which would liberate them from their oppression. In a word, the oppressed male is ideally made and kept “nonthreatening“ to the oppressive regime of his oppressive male counterpart. The relationship which we have sketched, despite appearances to the contrary, is fairly descriptive at this juncture of the relationship between the oppressive euroamerican male and the oppressed Afrikan male in the world today is standing back from several centuries in the past.

I agree that our people are targeted, but we have to understand how they are targeted differently. Both our females and males are targeted for self annihilation in the various forms of media such as; what we call and how we view ourselves as well as each other (female/male views of each other along with the views of each other within our sexual group); the constant reminder through movies and other forms of media that our existence in certain parts of the world began (from the yurugu viewpoint) with the enslavement of our ancestors; with our males, we are taken to even further depths because of the willingness to commit genocide through homicide and it socially acceptable as evidenced by the music that we listen to and the movies that we grew up with and continue to adore. So again, although we are both targeted, our males are attacked more because we bring the balance to our female counterparts that the yurugu society wants to stomp out, because physically, we pose the most immediate threat.
