Years ago I heard someone say, “You have to want to change more than you want to stay the same”. I have been on a weight loss roller coaster most of my adult life because my desire to be healthy wasn’t as strong as my desire for unhealthy food. I finally decided that my health and well-being was more important than my appetite. I’m slowly changing the way I view food: not as a source of comfort, but as a source of nutrition. So far, I’ve lost 35 lbs. and I have 35 more lbs to go! I expect to be at my target weight by February if I lose 1 lb/week. It hasn’t been easy, but I’m not giving up!
