Hotep Brother Kwadwo. My name is Emem Udotong. I grew up in New Jersey as the child of African education/engineering immigrants in a low-income household.
I graduated from MIT majoring in Mechanical Engineering and Concentrating in Global Development + Philosophy, 3 years ago. From the Greek Philosophy European curriculum, the ancestors guided me to Kemet. So I have continued my innerstanding into our ancestral oral traditions. I have the hands-on enterprising nature of Igbo from my maternal side & I’m a long-term war strategist from my paternal Annang/Ibibio origin.
After graduating, I returned home to Africa with friends. We built a vegetable oil processing factory in the Niger Delta that now employs 30 “citizens” as we call them and continues to grow. Our principles are Work in the African Interest > Profit. I am currently doing research further North up the Niger River in a region called Kaduna. And my objective is to continue building light industries in rural communities. This is in order to provide an alternative to colonial labor market and restore Ankobian institutions.
I was introduced to Abibitumi as the most prominent African Liberation platform owned and managed by Africans. I am excited to connect with like-minds and fellow builders.
