Interesting, here in the pacific north west the Kitasoo & other First Nations peoples living near the great bear rainforest, call the white bear in their culture the spirit bear & it’s sacred & hold a prominent place in their oral traditions. It’s is said in their spiritual system that Raven their creator made 10 black bears white to remind him of when the world was covered by frozen glaciers.
