Thank you for the video. I also like her but I don’t know all her songs. There is a song that I really appreciate “Makoun Oumou”. Do you know what does it mean?

I’m trying to learn Bambara (the Malian language she is singing in) from music so bear with me, but I believe it translates close to “Don’t cry Oumou”. It is a song dedicated to another Malian singer named, ‘Oumou Sangaré’, whom Fatoumata strongly respects — Oumou was one of (or THE) first professional female singer in Mali. The song is just talking about the hatred/lies Oumou faced.

But I love so many songs by Fatou! A song from her first album called, ‘Bissa’ is one of my favs too!
Edit: And how could I forget, her song called — Timbuktu Fasso — is just intense and powerful.
