4 years ago I made a commitment to heal. 2016 (at 235 lbs / 106 kg) to now 2020 (at 145 lbs / 65 kg).
In 2018 my brothers and I were able to travel to Ghana with our Dad, and then straight to Namibia with our mom (and I had gotten down to 185 lbs by that point). I think the long-needed homecoming to Afrika 2 years ago and then switching regular gym weightlifting/training to at home Afrikan dance workouts when covid-quarantine hit, really helped me get over that last little hurdle in reaching my goals (Afrikan dance is one of the most invigorating workouts!) — and of course changing the foods I was eating. Anything from now is just loving the freedom and health I’ve been able to reclaim and ever-learning the strength of Afrikan bodies, energy and movement.-
Medaase! I learn something new about myself and my heritage through movement and fitness. I love it.

Amazing transformation! You look like an entirely different person. You sure that wasn’t your cousin on the left?
