A famous painting from Ramses III’s tomb proves that the ancient Nile Valley people saw themselves as Black People and neither as Indo-Europeans nor as Semites. There is a color photo of this painting in Egypt Revisited: Journal of African Civilizations, Second Edition(1989), with Ivan Van Sertima as the editor.

Medaase, Dr. Kambon. I have two reprints of this, but both only feature the lower portion of the 4 male figures.

Oh, the source is printed under my color copy of the painting. But, I appreciate you providing this anyway.

You’re welcome. When you mentioned “I have two reprints of this, but both only feature the lower portion of the 4 male figures.” it seemed as though you hadn’t consulted the original source. That’s the actual page right there. You can even get the pdf and extract a high resolution version of the whole page. You’re welcome again.

Dr. Kambon , I thank you and the other group members for this information. Yes, I didn’t consult the original source. One reprint is in the aforementioned Ivan Van Sertima -edited anthology. And the other reprint is a b&w reproduction featured in Anthony T. Browder’s Nile Valley Contributions to Civilizations.

You are welcome. All of those and that of Maam Diop only use the bottom row. I’ve only seen both rows in the original.

What exactly did the Kmtyw call the Eurasians and the Semites? The word “Semite” is derived from “Sem.” In the ancient Nile Valley Civilization , a Sem was a priest of the Netcher Ra.
