The two women pictured below are without question Blacksolutely Beautiful. My dearest maternal aunt had Hattie McDaniels’ body type, skin tone, and facial features and my paternal grandmother resembled Butterfly McQueen. I loved both my aunt and my grandmother deeply. They were loving, nurturing, and protective women. They were survivors. I’m certain there were times in all of their lives that they caught absolute hell. 4 years ago ·
