The biggest irony of ironies. To keep Black men locked in a prison of perpetual dysfunction.
On the one hand, project the predominant character of Black men as destructive, abusive & toxic.
On the other hand, characterise every organised effort of Black men to problem solve as deficient, insignificant and driven by ego/ulterior motives.
The goal being that Black Manhood must never be considered a force of collective good. Black men must viewed as unwilling or incapable of being of value to our families & communities. To ultimate objective being, that Black men begin to reject their own Manhood.
To break down these walls requires being unapologetic in the right & responsibility of Black men to be self determining in what Black Manhood is and needs to become.
It requires honesty, sincerity, healing, deep thinking & Vision. It requires us to face genuine issues head on, without deflection. It requires us to ignore the naysayers. Naysers must be reated as the distraction that are.
Ultimately, Black men must challenge much of the ideals we were taught represents Manhood. Black men must reject any notion that attempts to instill in us a fear of being Black men. Black men must take back the power to define, develop, demonstrate & defend Black Manhood.
