Brood parasitism is a type of parasitism where the parasites depend on the host to raise their young ones. This is a form of parasitism as the parasites conserve energy whereas the host has to spend extra energy. This form of parasitism usually exists in birds, insects, and fishes where the parasites manipulate the host to raise their young ones on their own.
