anyone from Brooklyn planning to attend the International African Arts Festival on July 2 – 4? https://iaafestival.org/
@makiyasmack, I know that you’re in the middle of moving so I expect that you’ll be busy. 4 years ago ·

Habari sis… I won’t be attending due to the presence of the cavebeasts. I want to be around my people exclusively.

There was an arts and reggae fest here in KC this weekend. I didn’t go for the very reasons @makiyasmack didn’t go to the event you’re referring to. Because the ‘white people’s black people’ gotta make sure Mr. and Ms Mayonnaise aint gonna feel left out. Boo boo. #integrationists

see what i mean!! We can’t even have an event celebrating OUR culture without them .. very annoying!

I was going to go, but then I thought about it and was like “nahhhh.” Plus, this new covid variant. Watch the cases go up so they can have an excuse to force this jab.

I’m thinking if we call gatherings “family reunions” and have African cultural events at the “reunion”, that might make it harder for infected Black folx to invite their parasitic companions. Keep event smaller and private rather than large and “public.”

I like this idea a lot..and LOL to “infected Black folx”..I thought that I was the only one who viewed those ones as a virus and felt the need to keep myself away before I catch “IT”.

heh! Well, I’m still thinking through this, but OOK paper on Aggressive Ideological Mimicry got me to see the concept of “yt supremacy” as a virus that infects the individual and the social mind and then directs the behavior, orientation and loyalty of infected Black folx individually and in groups. (https://obadelekambon.com/pubs/t-r-h-nana-marcus-mosiah-garveys-universal-negro-nana-kwame-nkrumahs-all-african-and-the-theory-of-intraspecific-aggressive-ideological-mimicry/) It was his work and others (Ani, Wilson, Nobles, DuBois) that really helped me see that Black folx become corrupted, turned upside down and oriented against self and against Black culture at multiple levels. This is one of the reasons why I returned to the literature on anti-parasitic strategies; how do plants and animals evade, remove and recover from parasitic attacks.

I began to think about yurugu like I think about mosquitos carrying the malaria parasite, yurugu are a vector for a lethal ideology born from a genocidal culture rooted in their fundamental alienation. They’re dead. Their deadness became fertile ground for seeing the world as dead and for developing a culture and ideology of death. That’s why when I see Black folx w/ yt partners I say under my breath, “Rest in Peace”. They are fully infected and their TERMS are feeding yurugu. They are dead Black person walking…they just don’t know it. ZomBly.

Recently I realized that the tactic of me “playing dead” is a way to become invisible to yurugu. They are attracted to life (OOK might say they are attracted to Black TERMS! ) and Blk folx have life and TERMS in abundance. If I show yug no reaction, no emotion, no concern, they leave me alone b/c they don’t feel any juice, heat or “resources” coming off me. If I speak to them as if I don’t see them, my hypothesis is that they feel nothing. I want them to feel nothing from me. I want to find behaviors that make me seem uninteresting to them so that they move on and leave me alone. This might be one type of evasive behavior in an anti-parasitic toolkit.

“Family reunions” might be one way to evade yug presence. Maybe we can look for social formations that are already very private (special belief practices, healing practices, births, naming ceremonies, etc) and use those models to include others who also want to remain private. There has to be a special space that is safe and for Black ppl only. If we were organizing such an event, we’d have to be clear that Black ppl married to yug cannot bring the yug partner if they wish to attend at all. My view would be that ppl partnered w/ yug cannot attend Black events unless they are attempting to heal themselves in order to leave the parasite-host partnership.

@ajayrevels I haven’t read such a powerful analysis like what you posted above in a while

@ajayrevels one way I’ve thought about having them avoid our events is looking to host events in the Black neighborhoods they label the most “taboo” where they literally tell themselves and others not to go there.

haha! yes, that would be a form of camouflage. But I know that some yurugu males like to think of entering “unsafe” neighborhoods as a way to display their “bravery” and “risktaking”. At a fundamental level we need to own buildings where we can control who has access. If the Masons can restrict ppl, then we can come up w/ a “Social Club” that has very strict criteria for joining.
