The origin of the Peul: the principal thesis confronted to the African traditions and to Egyptology. After a brief critical review of different works consecrated to the origin of the Peul people or Fulbe, using the data of the African traditions and Egyptology, the author demonstrates the origin of this people as being from the Nile region. He puts under a new light as well, the existing relations between the Fulbe and the Halaar-pulaar-en. The present article sums up, as well as actualises it, the work of the author entitled ‘De l’origine egyptienne des Peuls.’
