I’m not sure if I agree either.. I have not seen a single “leader” on the continent admit that they failed (correct me if I’m wrong). As for groups never admitting to failure, that definitely applies to our people. Such examples are : the East African community, CARICOM, the congressional Black caucus and so on. These so called leaders do not have a ruling class mentality, to reference Baba Chinweizu.

None of the current leaders have admitted failure. Nyerere did admit to mistakes near the end of his life, but he was always a more thoughtful intellectual.
