interesting take in the sense that church/religion attracts (or enables/encourages) those prone to bad/weak character (through a permissiveness for unbridled, daily sin exonerated in an hour or two period of forgiveness and, in fact, looked at in this way, to stay away from church/religion itself is the act of “saving one’s soul” through the development of a natural, internalized kindness. ijs.
