Until we break the monopoly the oppressor has on our minds, liberation is not only impossible, it’s unthinkable. For what you can’t conceive you can’t achieve. Cultural revolution is the ideological and practical struggle to rescue and reconstruct our own culture, break the cultural hegemony of the oppressor over the people, transform persons so that they become self-conscious agents of their own liberation, and aid in the preparation and support of the larger struggle for liberation and a higher level of human life. Thus, the cultural revolution is tied to and part of all forms of struggle for liberation.”
