The struggle for national existence as a people is a cultural struggle and the struggle to defend, maintain and develop our culture is in the final analysis a struggle for national existence, i.e., our right and responsibility to exist as a people, to speak our special truth to the world and make our own unique contribution to the forward flow of human history.”
