Maaha abusuafo! I am working on a web-based app for the Akan Calendar, called Adaduanan. Im still relatively new to software development and I need some help with this project so and I wanted to know if there were any software engineers or front end developers here that would be interested in helping.

Medase onua! Ideally, it will be an addition to Abibitumi.com when complete.

We had that on Abibitumi Kasa. Here’s the archived page that still works!

Medase Ɔbenfo! That app is great and I will definitely use the code to build on. And the one I’m looking to build about goes one step deeper into the Adaduanan. Like me I’m Kwesi, but more specifically I was born on Fo-Kwesiada. This app will tell you the nnanson prefix for your kradin.

Ase! The app that was on Abibitumi Kasa accomplishes a lot what we need to do. It accounts for the Nnawɔtwe (7 day week), which we need to do, however, we also need to reference the Nnanson (6 day week), and thats where I am stuck. Ive been exploring the “gettime” javascript function, and currently, Im looking into SQL to see if a custom-built calendar table could be designed to account for both the nnanson and the nnawɔtwe. Conclusions TBD haha. but yeah, I will look through the Members section and see what we can do! Medase Baba!

Maaha abusuafo! Ive been working on this app and researching similar tools and the Ancestors led to the great work of our brilliant brother @kwakuananse He has already created the exact app that I wanted to make. You can populate the Adaduanan day for any date, past or future at https://www.Akancalendar.com! Me nua woayɛ adeɛ!
