          How can yoga be Afrikan?

The earliest evidence of yoga practice can be found in the ancient Hindu scriptures called the Vedas, which were written between 1500 and 1000 BCE,
which during this time period, Ramses II who ruled from 1279 BCE to 1213 BCE.
Who during his reign designed the skeleton of what would become yoga? Even more so, the vedas were written in VedicSanskrit, of which to my knowledge developed independently of Mdw Ntr. The oldest known text on yoga is the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, which was written somewhere around 400 CE of which this would place KMT as a province of the Roman Empire.
Where is this concept laid out in the MdwNtr?

The brothas and sistas I know who teach it and practice it say it was inspired by the postures depicted on the KMT walls. Let’s say Kmtyu then didn’t actually do any yoga like exercise, can it be seen as a NuAfrikan manifestation where we used our Kuumba to heal ourselves?

@afron8v that would appear taking another system and overlaying it on top of ours to derive meaning within a current day context.
We have our own methods to heal ourselves without taking another system from another culture that does not belong to us and also has a low opinion of us as Afrikans.

@BakaOmubo as Nlongi Kambon has said, “the equal sign will kill us”

I overstand. I’m relaying their messaging. What would be a good indigenous Kmtyu healing system to use instead?

@AFRON8V @obadelekambon our own cultures, using the languages that are used to convey the concepts
Proverbs used as a medicine to guide in process of reasoning
Ifa, Vodun, BuKongo traditions, as a few examples are used for healing and reflection

Give thanks to all for the discourse… “Afrikan Yoga” is and should only be considered a place holder… Transitional terminology based on the history that produced these practices.

Within the various systems we use terms like Thef Neteru, Sema Tawi, Tamare Smai Taui and a few others.
