We can create value in whatever environment we are in. Our people are valued for our labor (physical and intellectual) yet, we have not organized ourselves in a way that makes it economically sustainable to be African.
I have looked at the sacrifices so many of our great ancestors made to teach us. I have seen the legacy they leave behind, however, it should be the norm that great contributors to the restoration of our cultures be rewarded. Each consecutive generation should be in full knowledge that working to the benefit of our people is not the sacrifice play.
I am personally vested in solidifying the foundational economic practices that have shown to be most effective in sustaining our ways of life.
I hope to meet people on this platform who are unequivocally committed to protecting the gains made by our ancestors and the gains we will make in our lifetime and to teach the next generation the necessity of protecting what we create.
I am 26 years old and I wish that I could be plugged into where my predecessors left off to take it to the next step. The path to connecting with Abibitumi and many of the most influential people in my growth has been obscure, to say the least.
There are many African geniuses worldwide we have to build the bridges necessary to allow them to maximize their abilities in our favor!
