For those who are having a hard time understanding what is the ‘comparative method’ from what is not the comparative method. 1) Please review Trask, 2023, or even 2014 text as shown here. He explains the standard comparative method. 2) There are non-credit courses from the University of Leiden and the VLC, that assist the beginner with education on the standard linguistic comparative method or even Dr. Kambon’s comparative linguistic dissertation which is what I used to get better alongside Trask 2023. Unfortunately, just because someone says this is comparative linguistics or shows vague similarities between two languages does not mean those languages demonstrate a genetic affinity. For example, there are words that are numerous words that are similar between Classical Medew NeTer and Modern English. Just because you have similar terms does not mean that these terms are in fact derived from the same ancestral language or that the languages in question are genetically related. Trask 2014 explains the formal standard method. Similarities are in all languages which is due to various linguistic factors like 1) Chance similarities and 2) Borrowings (Ancient or Recent) and 3) Look-alikes.
Classical Medew NeTer and Modern Standard English

Just because English and Medew Neter have terms that are similar or look alike does NOT mean English is genetically related to Classical Medew NeTer. 1) No reconstruction, 2) No explaining of how the vowels are between the Medew Neter consonants 3) No Medew Neter reconstruction, 4) No sound correspondences in hundreds of basic words (correspondences can also appear in borrowings). 5_ The IPA is not used. 6) Transliterations as a convention that is limited phonologically, 7) a Morphologically comparative analysis has to be demonstrated, 8) an Explanation of how sounds are changing diachronically and numerous other factors.
