“According to Nigerian movies, Nigerian traditional religions or spirituality is the practice of bad magic or “Juju.”
But a chat with Òrìsà priestess, Omítọ̀nàdé Ifáwẹ̀mímọ́ debunks these myths peddled by Nollywood.”

Nigerian’s Nollywood movies has been the major and number one culprit in destroying the image of Yoruba spirituality all across the world.

Of course, American movies have also been a major culprit.

I was watching a video of an Afrikan traveler, those Afrikan social media people who travel around the world; well, this Afrikan traveler went to Jamaica and asked a Jamaican lady, “what do you think about Africa?”

The Jamaican lady replied, “I don’t like Africa.”

              “Why?”

“Because African practice juju. I’m not into all that devil worship.”

“How do you know Africans worship the devil?”

              “It’s in their movies.”

Nollywood movies has been a major destructive force on the minds of Afrikan people on how they view and embrace their own Afrikan indigenous spirituality and religion.

Nollywood movies are very popular in the diaspora, especially in the Caribbeans, and especially in English speaking countries like Jamaica.

I appreciate you sharing this. Nollywood is descended from Hollywood. Hollywood and the British movie industry first presented the destructive stereotypes about Afrikan spirituality. Nollywood picked up on this and ran with it.. Juju has nothing to do with Western European Satanism.

That sister is a product of the British colonialism present for years within Jamaica. Some Jamaicans possess this Eurocentric attitude towards Haitians

                @shadejford

                You welcome.

                I agree with you 💯 %.

Hollywood is an anti-Black, anti-Afrikan organization controlled and funded by white European Jewish men.

Nollywood is just a Black face of Hollywood.

Even the name “Nollywood” let you know who their inspiration, aspirations, who they want to be like, role model, blueprint is and it is Hollywood.

Hollywood is really owned and operated by European-American male Jews(Warner Brothers, MGM, etc.) and European-American male Gentiles(Disney, United Artists, etc.).
