“A Common Language is essential for the unity and survival of any nation, for language is the medium through which people are enabled to commonly communicate and form the basis for their interactions with each other. A Common Government is essential for the unity and survival of any nation, for government is the medium through which The Will of The People is established and enforced, and the resources of The Land are effectively administered and utilized. A Common Army is essential for the unity and survival of any nation, for the army is the medium through which the lives of The People and the sovereignty of The Land are preserved and protected.
We lack a Common Language, Government and Army in Africa, and therefore we lack the necessary ingredients to function as One Nation.
The Continent of Africa is presently comprised of 54 separate so-called “African nations” with over 60 different principal languages, and each of these so-called “African nations” have their own governments and armies. The problem with this situation is that neither one of these so-called “African nations” have the necessary economic and military might to protect themselves against any serious economic embargo or military attack by any European nation, which renders all 54 of these so-called “African nations” ineffective as nations.
The Continent of Africa is 11,700,000 square miles of land with a population of approximately 643,000,000 People, and given these statistics it is clear that we have more than enough People and Land to grow and build virtually anything that we so desire, and be able to thoroughly defend and protect it. So, why don’t we?
The answer is clear: (1) We lack the necessary Unity As A People to live and fight together for our own common protection and interests; and (2) We lack the necessary Knowledge and Skills to design and build our own modern infrastructures and technologies. Therefore, the fact that we have hundreds of millions of African People, and millions of square miles of Land is worthless. Why? Because numbers are worthless in the absence of Unity Among A People, and Land is worthless in the absence of The People having knowledge of how to develop it.
There is a definite comparison that can be made between the individual organism of A Human Body and the collective organism of A Nation, for just as The Human Body must function as one composite whole in harmony with itself to maintain a healthy state of existence, so must A Nation function as one composite whole in harmony with itself to maintain a healthy state of existence. Also, just as once The Human Body fails to function properly it eventually falls into illness and ultimately death, so does A Nation that fails to function properly eventually fall into decline and ultimately extinction.” (pgs. 24-25)

I post these excerpts from my book (published in 1991) as a stark reminder that simply because a nation of people speaks their own language doesn’t supply them with all that they need for them to fully recover their position of Freedom, Independence and Power In The World. In fact, even after we manage to successfully do the serious work of implementing ONE COMMON CONTINENTWIDE AFRICAN LANGUAGE AMONG OURSELVES, there will still be far more work that needs to be done, and far more changes that we’re going to have to make within ourselves, before we’ll be able to FULLY LIBERATE OURSELVES from all foreign domination, control and destruction at the hands of the multiple foreign enemy nations who presently rule over us (be they Europeans, Arabs, Jews, Chinese or any other foreign predator nations). Simply stated, we must develop A WHOLISTIC APPROACH TO OUR LIBERATION STRUGGLE that encompasses all of the things that we must know and do as a people to achieve and maintain Our Liberation – NOT JUST ONE OR TWO THINGS.

This is an important topic that should be brought up, brainstormed, and explored more to find solutions at the next

“neither of these so-called African countries have the necessary economic power to protect themselves against any serious economic embargo.”
Prime example: Ghana
Ghana with its $3.8 billion dollars IMF LGBTQ+ hostage loan.

I think a common vision is what we need.
As for a common language. I think a lot more research etc needs to be done before that topic can be properly addressed.
Personally, I find the recommendation of “KiSwahili” to be suspect to say the least.
Why was a language known by an arabic word even suggested? That’s a red flag.
Not saying KiBantu (“KiSwahili”) is not a Black Language. The research says that it is a Black Language at its core at the very least. But is this really a good look? I don’t think it is.
The argument for it seems to have always been in its numbers but I actually don’t think that’s even a strong argument. Over %90 of Black People don’t speak it.
As for the suggestion of Mdw Ntw? Honestly not a fan of that suggestion either. For many reasons. Not gonna discuss them all here but this needs to be said: Do we even own Mdw Ntw? What is the lineage of our understanding of Mdw Ntw? “Egyptology”? Not a good look.
We can establish a common army and a common government without yet having established a common language.
A common Language is a longterm goal. A goal that should only be mandatory on a government level. Our thousands of Languages should not be looked at as a weakness nor a hindrance nor a problem to be “solved”.1 -

In my humble opinion (which may sound foolish or insane to some), if the sheer number of proclamations that we are in dire need of ONE COMMON CONTINENT-WIDE LANGAUGE (by presidents, ministers, linguists, AU officials, n.k.) was replaced with that same number of Black Nationalists actually learning the language that THEY THEMSELVES PROPOSE, we would be a lot further along.
It has been observed that such proclamations over the last few decades have done a piss-poor job: https://www.bbc.com/news/world-africa-60333796

Indeed, if those with 110% consciousness are not willing to learn the language that THEY THEMSELVES PROPOSE, only a “natural mystic blowing through the air” (mysticism) will make more proclamations to this effect to those with zero Black Nationalist consciousness magically hop to it and change our condition.
More DEMONSTRATION, less proclamation is how the situation actually changes.
The track record is clear: making proclamations is NOT the work. Actually doing what one says should be done is the only thing that is going to move the work in any direction other than running backwards in the wrong direction.
The time to get our different selves together is now:

Yup. That’s why I have a lot of respect for you. You actually know several Black Languages.

consenus is we have settled on kiswahili?

I don’t think it should be “KiSwahili”.
Would that be the worst thing in the world? Far from that but looking at its history and the reasons why it is even being suggested I don’t think it’s reflective of Black Power.
I think we should focus on selecting a Language for us – the ones has been uprooted from the Motherland.
It would probably be much easier for us since we don’t even have one.
I’m still researching on this but one of the leading candidates I think should be KiKongo. In Ayiti we can easily go with a Gbe Language such as EweGbe or FonGbe but our Kongo roots are clear as well.
Another idea is to go with a Language that has very few speakers.
I think a very dedicated research needs to be done in order to make sure we set ourselves up for the greatest future.
KiKongo written with The Mandombe Script? We would be on our way with this one.

Some will say Akan language, because there are many Akan words that can be traced back to the Mdu Ntr of ancient Kmt.
-
KMT had its day and as part of our history it is no doubt important but I don’t place KMT above our recent/current (if barely) surviving societies. The notion that we have no great history outside of the societies along the Hapi river is not only an egregiously false notion but is itself a sign of an “inferiority complex”.
Some real serious research would need to be done to pick a Language, I think. I do a little something here and there. I didn’t go to college or none of that. I’m just putting work in and going after what I want.
Until we have done what is necessary to properly address this topic, in the meantime, I think our focus should be on setting the record straight on how things actually were and how things actually are.
For example, it seems most Black People still don’t know that the Motherland has been divided up into “colonial cages” known as “countries”.
Just knowing the facts about that part of history alone would probably cause a much needed shift that could bring us closer to putting an end to the maafa.

With the way things are going naturally there will be a “Lingua Franca”. English has emerged as the “Lingua Franca” for much of the world and its influence is still spreading. China has made a move but thus far has not had much success. Arabic and French are there but seem to be losing ground to mostly English. Spanish is making some noise but seems similarly restricted as Mandarin is as far as “crossover appeal” is concerned.
What of a Black Language?
From what I have seen, there are certainly some good efforts being made albeit on a small scale. Wolof seems to really be solidifying itself. Manding and its related Languages are putting in work as well with the N’ko Script. And I’ve seen various other efforts.
However, it looks like there still isn’t a formidable institution that has been established with the foothold to start guiding the very next generation that is already born.
The Black World has the world’s youngest population and with the outreach of the internet we are arguably more vulnerable than ever.
I think efforts to preserve and actually use our current Languages is first and then after that we will be able to properly address the need for all of us to communicate using one Language.
