The Afrikan centered educator’s mission is to cultivate thinkers, not regurgitators. Regurgitators are trained to speak and build out of yurugu’s mind, believing that its politics are human. Even if “questioning everything,” those who can only parrot the thought patterns and interests of the dominant, enemy culture cannot build sovereignty. They can only put black on white and call it “firsts.” Regurgitators can only imitate, even if what they devise gives the appearance of being unique. Its spirit remains that of our oppressors. They can never build what we need. Afrikan sovereignty requires creating and sustaining a powerful state of existence in the face of Isfet. This requires a functional, Sankofan, visionary knowledge and application of self. It requires them to truly know what it means to be, and actually to be, Afrikan. Teaching regurgitation can never give them this. Thinkers, on the other hand, are given the opportunity to interpret reality through the eyes of our Ancestors. They are given the tools necessary to create the reality Afrikan people need to unconditionally be Afrikan. And, if they honor the privilege and requirements of this obligation, they will use our words to speak a truth that moves Afrikan people toward a sovereign material and intellectual existence. yurugu’s way is unworthy of their higher intellect because they have been taught by knowledgeable educators to be nothing less than Afrikan.
