For all the people who are learning Èdè Yorùbá. This is a great resource, I love watching this show. And after having Ọbádélé as a teacher, its rare to find people who are serious about writing the language properly with all the diacritics. Great learning opportunity.6 Comments-

This is interesting. But right from the jump, the host is saying Ẹgbẹ̀run l’ọ́nà mẹ́wàá which is 1,000 x 10 = 10,000. He’s speaking Yorùbá, but thinking in base 10 krakkka. But Yorùbá is vegesimal, or base 20, so the correct way to say the number is ẹgbàárùnún, which is 200x10x5=10,000 from igba x (mẹ́w)àá x (má)rùnún. Even if you’re using Yorùbá words but calquing from krakkka, it begs the question of did we come or did we go.

@obadelekambon I saw that, I wanted to take the intermediate. If I had more money I’d retake this one, but I’m saving for my Ìṣẹ́fá. But when intermediate comes out I’m there.

@obadelekambon Ok, I will see about using that option. I thought about importing into abibitumitv, but I’m having a lot of issues using the website. I’m seeing now that safari works a lot better for me than chrome does for this website, so I’ll keep experimenting so it’s easier for me to use.

@obadelekambon I think of you and how you would do everytime I watch this. I’ve never seen an Afrikan Anti-American on the program. I would love to see that.
I would be interested in seeing that happen for Twi as well. I have a production company Blacktivision Productions, and I would help film it if I was there.
