Cool background picture(panoramic) ,, is this your home?
So i am busy doing a mini magazine on indigenous medicinal plants of the Black continent. My Batho(Bantu) people are the Bakwena Batswana of SADEC, we range from Lesotho to Botswana,, This includes some of us stuck in South Africa under the brutish and ducth system of neo colonialism,,
Our region of KMT is full of traditional plants that have medicinal benefits according to the season,,ranging from the plant that the Congolese and Madagascan healers used to cure people from COVID, We call it Lengana, and the Ngoni(Xhosa,Zulu and Swati) call it Mohlonyane.. Same plant. Just different family perspective of pronunciation.
This plant is in the mini magazine that I am busy compiling to publish. Where I am from in the North Western region of South Africa(Mzanzi Azania), my fathers side of my family lineage, Moruleng, we have a plant called Morula. We make a Sake type alcohol from it that has medicinal benefits. A good plant that grows very big before it gives fruits of Morula.
The dutch,, made an alcoholic drink with the same plant and they call it Amarula(mispronounciation), they have an elephant(one of our totems animals) on the cover of their commercial enterprise bottle.
Just like the Kola nut of lower Niger river Batho people, the european stole and is still stealing and bottling commercial enterprises with our indigenous plants and not sharing the profits,,,
Are there any such medicinal plants that you know of in your area that the european is doing the same with?
