Namibia Launches Consumer Education Website, Reaffirming Its Commitment to Financial Literacy
The website, launched by the Namibia Financial Institutions Supervisory Authority (Namfisa), is designed to simplify money matters and boost Namibians’ understanding of personal finance. Developed with Green Enterprise Solutions, the multilingual platform is user-friendly and features videos and educational games.
The website empowers Namibians with essential money management skills, reflecting Namfisa’s commitment to consumer protection and building a more informed society, CEO Kenneth Matomola stated.
The initiative supports the authority’s strategic goals of inclusion and aims to bridge the knowledge gap in both urban and rural communities.
Recognizing that not everyone has internet access, Matomola also noted that Namfisa is utilizing various channels for broader outreach, including a mobile office, public events, and media engagement.
