      🇲🇿🇨🇳 Mozambique–China Trade Reaches $5.18 Billion in 2024

Trade between Mozambique and China reached $5.18 billion in 2024, driven by cooperation in construction, agriculture, healthcare, and education. China has become Mozambique’s second-largest trading partner, expanding investment in infrastructure and granting zero-tariff access for Mozambican goods.

Chinese investments support key initiatives such as rice cultivation projects in Gaza Province, as well as major infrastructure like the Maputo–KaTembe Bridge and the National Surgical Center.

Since 1976, 25 Chinese medical teams have worked in Mozambique, while around 10,000 young people have studied the Chinese language. The Mozambique–China Cultural Center has also organized nearly 100 events over the past two years, strengthening cultural ties alongside economic cooperation.
