Malawi Prepares for Pivotal General Elections Under SADC Observation

🇲🇼🗳 SADC Electoral Observation Mission (SEOM) has officially deployed to monitor the election, set to take place on September 16.

This election follows the historic nullification of the 2019 presidential results by Malawi’s Constitutional Court due to widespread irregularities—a first in African electoral history.

SEOM observers, who will assess compliance with SADC’s election guidelines, are now deployed nationwide to monitor pre-election activities.
