      5,646 Abibisika (Black Gold) Points

There is this obvious asymmetrical compassion and energy demanded of Black people globally for other people and their “struggles”. LGBTQ, arabs, migrants, “the working class”, etc etc And since, if even only on a subconscious level, everyone knows that the historical and ongoing crimes against our people are the standard for the worst crimes against a people – ever – and the longest, we are consistently used as pawns in other people’s “causes”, positioned to be used and discarded for other’s interests.

It wasn’t until I watched Nana John Henrik Clarke’s “You have no friends” lecture that I understood. There are no allies for Black liberation. Yes, people will opportunistically stand next to us for photos and have us at the front of their marches but that “allyship” is asymmetrical and subpar on their end, if not totally empty. Because every other nation stands on the necks of Africa and Black peoples globally. “Across cultures darker people suffer most, why?” No matter which nation you go to, Black people are treated like the bottom of the barrel. Imagine that, the bedrock of the world, the original people treated like invaders on their native planet – by invaders and destroyers. I didn’t know there is a well documented history of human trafficked Africans to palestine until today. Here is an interesting article on the subject.
