Ghana’s Mineral Revenues Surge in First 3 Quarters of 2025, Led by Gold & Record Manganese Growth
🇬🇭 The royalty growth was recorded across all major mining segments in the country driven by higher commodity prices and improved regulatory compliance, according to Ghana’s Minerals Income Investment Fund (MIIF).
Sector performance breakdown, according to MIIF data:
🟠Large-Scale Gold: Royalties reached $291.87 million (40.18% growth);
🟠Mid-Tier Gold: Royalties jumped 46.38% to $5.2 million;
🟠Manganese: Achieved exceptional 170% surge to $12.75 million;
🟠Bauxite & Sand Mining: Recorded 13.12% and 21.48% increases respectively.
“We will not rest on our oars even with this achievement because we know there is more work to be done to end the year and, in the years, ahead,” local media quoted MIIF CEO Justina Nelson as saying.
She pledged continued engagement with mining operators to ensure compliance.
