With the theme “Construction of Black Civilization,” this launch sets the tone for a year of serious study, strategic institution-building, cultural production, and collective action.
The Abibitumi Conference has become a vital space for advancing Black Power through scholarship, organizing, cultural clarity, and practical demonstration. The Abibitumi Abibifahodie Film Festival expands that mission through cinema, storytelling, documentary work, and visual culture that center Black life, Black struggle, Black memory, and Black futures.
This 2026 launch brings together the intellectual, cultural, and creative dimensions of Abibitumi’s work. It invites participants, partners, filmmakers, scholars, organizers, and supporters to join in building a stronger platform for Black-centered education, media, and institution-building.
