I have a book that is an anthology of essays about him that I got from a vintage black book store here in K.C. You are right, while he wasnt perfect it was our own(sell outs)who contributed to the stress that led to his death. Once he saw how the NAACP’s staff was white or near white he realized that organization was not going in the same direction as the UNIA. He became more disgusted after talking with DuBois.
