“I think this term Ubuntu (Humanity) is connected with “Nu” (primordial waters which created the world; genes?) and “Rmtj” (indigenous humans, citizens, natives). Pretty interesting if historical linguists can look at these terms because it seems like they have been translated and repurposed as a form of pacifist ideology. I highly doubt the Zulu Empire was practicing the form of “ubuntu” that people are articulating today.

this word “ubuntu” seems related to kmt.y “rmtj/remetj” and might have been mistranslated. “Remetj” was a concept of humanity where you had to follow the native law.

On further research I see there is a word “uluntu” meaning “community”.
“Ubuntu” would seem to be the quality of being a member of “uluntu” or “remetj”, the community, nation. In Igbo we have “erima” (social network).

In Igbo we have “ora/oha” which means public, but used to refer to democratic council or a group of people who have voting rights together. Ora mmadu would be the voting public and you could lose certain rights based on your actions or origin.
