Ankh, Djed, Wes!
I was enjoying a pic of this statue of Ra-Mes-Sut II and attempted to translate the text. In the process I was particularly intrigued the 𓄟 medut.
Anybody know if the “mes” medut, 𓄟, is actually three fox skins as mentioned on several websites?
And if the 𓄟 medut does depict fox skins, does anybody know what connection fox skins have to birth in Afrakan/Kemetic culture?

My Translation:
Sa Ra, Mer-Amun Ra-Mes-Sut, Heuroun Mer-en
Son of Ra, Mer-Amun Ra-Mes-Sut, Beloved of Heuroun

I don’t know if the “mes” medut represents the 3 fox skins. However, I know the fox itself is connected to both Aset & Bast since both are fertility Netcherw.
-
Dua! Do you know which qualities or characteristics of foxes lead them to associated with fertility and Auset?
-
No. I’ve been trying to find that out myself.

Amen! This is Shetaut Neter, the Divine Mystery. I’ll be sure to share any insights that I get.

I know Baba Mfundishi Jhutyms speaks on this and he says it is definitely not fox tails.

@Langston Dua! I’ll see if I can find this info. Please share any links if you can.

I will try and find.
