      @SageLion

      I am creating a video, but I have several doubts that I don’t know if you could shed some light on:

      1) (I am a mess at drawing!) I have downloaded drawings from Pixabay.com/Pexels.com to create a short story for children’s audience (or any age if they like!).

      My doubt is that if in the future I wanted to sell this product, how certain is it that you wouldn’t have legal problems with those supposedly free images.

      2) I do the voice over with my voice. But I would like to put a background music while I tell the story. There are a lot of legal issues about the songs…. There are pages that tell you that everything they have is free even for commercial use (for example, Freepd.com). Is it true?, can’t they change in the future?

      Alternatively, I have thought about using an online website where you create a music base yourself. If you do that, do you guarantee you won’t have any legal problems? Can the sounds of the website itself be registered and someday claim you legally?

      Thank you very much in advance!

        Ah yes, the lovely world of copyright. While I am not 100% versed in the law of it all, I can say that certainly the safest guarantee for anything you do in the art world is to do it yourself — be it creating music or the art itself.

        BUT sites like Pixabay usually have some rules around their use. Like: Free to use, credit not required but appreciated, you can modify or edit however you want https://www.pexels.com/license/ …you’re pretty safe otherwise for commercial use.

        I also should point out, that commissioning artwork or photography from others in the community (if you have the resources), is a good option to get imagery for your projects that won’t land you in copyright jail.
