This is like my 3rd day in Afrika and I am starting to see just how stressed I was/am in the States. I’m still in rush mode and panicky. Others have helped me to see this and it is an eye-opener! I get to slow down here and appreciate the simple things. I’m noticing that I have quite a few bad habits and a slight air of superiority that I have to destroy. This amazing place is allowing me to check myself and it is long overdue. The airport have yet to return my bag but hopefully I will receive it tomorrow. The sun is baking me while I’m out with the people and trying to blend in but people still look at me like I’m a tourist and I don’t like it; but it’s cool though. A guy told me today that when I speak it’s like hip-hop…I couldn’t stop laughing! He was trying to teach me a little Swahili and some words I couldn’t enunciate well.

It’s really showing me things I don’t like about myself but I’m enjoying the experience
