Peace.
Anyone got resources for urban farming for someone completely new?
Bakari and Njideka-
Honored Brother @Tamara_Kirinatei please contact these urban farming experts in Atlanta: http://www.habeshainc.org. I graduated from their Habesha Works program and taught school-aged children in their Sustainable Seeds Program. For several years,, I was elbow and ankle deep in rich agri-CULTURE learning/working at Habesha’s 2 large very urban gardens: Dunbar Neighborhood Center and Omenala Teaching Museum. The Founder/Directer, Bro Cashawn Myers (who is based in Ghana but travels back and forth) has his doctorate specializing in soil science. So, I obtained a DEEP appreciation of SOIL (versus DIRT)- as a springboard for a healthy garden. ‘Soil is a dynamic, living medium that supports plant growth, while dirt is essentially displaced soil, lacking the biological activity and nutrient richness necessary for plant life’. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3O1UbocA5fc&t=34s
