Peace Beloved Family! So, I haven’t told this publically on any othe platform, but here, it makes most sense. I’m embarking on a journey of an independant study research project focused on Afrikan Cultural expressions in the Diasporic world. It will focus on several aspects of the cultural arts and link them specifically back to Afrikan pre-colonial cultures. This will be a long process I know, but I feel this is indeed something my Ancestors are calling me to do. I’ve been going back and forth about whether or not to join an institution in order to do this, yet my Spirit guides are telling me that it’s not yet time. However, when I do, I’d like for it to be an Afrikan institution where I shall earn my Ph.D. Any particular suggestions?

There are institutions like that with Afrikans in them, but these are not Afrikan institutions. Buyer beware.

You are so right Dr. Kambon!! That’s how I’ve been feeling! I feel I should just do the work, especially because I don’t want to be limited by some institutions perception of my artistic and academic vision. I believe what I really need is a mentor.

I hear ya. You’re probably familiar with the word mentor and where it comes from: https://daghettotymz.com/current/mentor-jegna/mentor-jegna.html

It may be that. These institutions will definitely try to limit you.
