      Greetings,
Okunini Kambon and other excellent Abibitumi Blacks, I’m sharing a reduplicate inscription drawing from the Journal Asiatique by Société Asiatique (Paris, France) pg: 285. This source came by way of Sir. Wallis E. Budge’s Egyptian Hieroglyphic Dictionary Volume II pg: 787. As we observe Budge’s dictionary entry he gives a clear definition to ‘ kmmjw ‘ as the nomenclature “Egyptians” and does not prescribe that this is referring to land. What is interesting about this entry is the fact that the formation of this particular entry has the ‘village’ determinative coded in the Gardiner Sign list as O49. Some amateurish Egyptologists whenever they see the “O49 ” determinative attached to ‘ km ‘ they mistakenly equate the term to mean “strictly land” and spew this information frequently. 1- Medew NeTer ourselves, transliterating and translating properly by grammar accuracy, 2- keeping in mind context, and 3- actually applying the historical linguistic methodology to assist with examining the semantic matrix from established cognates confirming the etymology. A quick summary of the post, (A) – We will observe my transliteration and translation, (B) – We will observe the European translation in the Journal Asiatique, (C)- would love feedback for accuracy of my translations, (D) ‘ kmmjw ‘ in this context is STRICTLY referring to the people and maybe as Okunini Kambon has stated to be probably derived from Old Medew NeTer (Old Egyptian) ‘kmtjw’ and ‘kmw with the omission of the ‘tjw” bird, (E) Evaluating Negro- Egyptian linguistics and observing the genetically related Sahidic Coptic language to confirm the meaning as Blacks in its historical evolution, Sahidic Coptic has this exact plural formation meaning, kamau:eɪ: = BLACKS according to Crum’s Coptic Dictionary and other forms in the singular for example, Fayyumi Coptic ‘keme’ Black person, Bohairic Coptic ‘xemi’ as Black person.
