Shared Goverance is so important in higher education. Faculty, students, adminstration, and alumni should be involved in the discussion making process. Not only the President or Chancellor. I think each group offers a different perspective in higher education.

HBCUs need to work on tactic around politics. They need to do a better job of lobbying around political leaders. While HBCUS may not have the resources, there are students, alumni, and faculty that help lobby for additional resources.

Unfortunately, HBCU’s were compromised from the beginning of their existence (check the names of the HBCUs-most are named after eurasians) and continue to be so.
