1 Corinthians 10
1. Therefore, let those who think they stand!
2. Worshipers of the gods (elohim) of Capitalism.
3. Twenty-three thousand of us and more fell.
4. Our people are destroyed by the serpents of Colonialism.
5. Can you see the way of escape?
7 So do not become worshipers of gods (elohim) as some of them were. As it is written: the people sat down to eat and drink and rose up to play.
8 Nor let us commit sexual sins, as some of them did, and twenty-three thousand fell in one day.
9 Nor let us tempt The Most High, as some of them also tempted Him and were destroyed by serpents.
10 And do not murmur, as some of them also murmured, and were destroyed by the destroyer.
11 Now all these things took place with them as examples; and they were
written for our admonition, on whom the ends of the ages have come.
12 Therefore, let him who thinks he stands, be on guard that he does not fall!
13 There is no temptation taken hold of you, except what is common to man. And Yahweh is faithful; He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, He will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.
